Background:
Integrative Family Care is an independent family medicine practice, caring for children and adults. We use direct primary care, a membership model, to deliver outstanding, affordable care, to a diverse patient population. Open since July 2017, we are growing quickly. We are in search of an energetic, creative team member with basic medical assistant training and experience to help us keep our office running efficiently. We strive for a new experience in healthcare for our patients and our staff. This requires creativity, hard work, flexibility, and a strong sense of advocacy for our patients.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Collection of vital signs
Phlebotomy (preferred) and specimen processing
Assistance with other patient care and testing
Assistance with pharmacy communication and medication reconciliation
Coordination of care with other medical offices and hospitals
Direct patient care assistance
Interaction with insurance companies to start prior authorizations, review benefits coverage
Other skills as the practice develops
Qualifications and skills:
Associate or bachelors degree in a medical field
2 years plus experience in working in a medical practice
Excellent references
High level of professionalism
Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer and mathematical competence
The ability to learn new software
Certified MA (preferred)
The applicant should have a willingness to learn new skills and expand their potential. Although on-site job training will be provided, the applicant should have experience with the above and the ability to present themselves professionally.
Job Type: Part time with opportunity for advancement to full-time.
Salary: $15-18/hour with opportunity for advancement.
